In the modern medical industry, electric operating beds have become the core equipment of major hospitals and surgery centers, and their stability, accuracy and quietness directly affect the smooth progress of surgery. The traditional operating table adopts hydraulic or ordinary gear transmission system, which has problems such as insufficient accuracy, high noise and high energy consumption. As a result, a medical device company wanted to optimize its new generation of electric operating tables with an efficient, low-noise, high-precision drivetrain and find a suitable drive solution.
In communication with the client, we learned that the electric operating table project faced the following core challenges:
1. Precise control problem: the operating table needs to be able to fine-tune the angle (such as supine, tilting, high and low lifting, etc.), and the positioning accuracy is required to be controlled within ±0.1°, which is difficult for ordinary gear systems to achieve.
2. High torque requirements: The operating table needs to carry patients of different weights, and when lifting and angle adjustment, sufficient torque output is required to ensure smooth movement and avoid shaking.
3. Low noise demand: The surgical environment requires a very low noise level, and ordinary worm gears or gear reducers are noisy, which may affect the doctor's concentration.
4. Equipment life and maintenance: The hospital equipment has a long running time, and the operating table needs to have a stable life of at least 10 years, reduce maintenance costs, and improve reliability.
5. Limited installation space: The internal space of the operating table is limited, and the transmission system must be designed to be compact enough to meet the limited installation space requirements.
High-precision positioning: The planetary reducer adopts multi-stage precision gear design, and the transmission error is small, so that the adjustment accuracy of the operating table can reach within ±0.1°.
Large torque output: The planetary reducer can provide tens to hundreds of Nm of torque to ensure that the bed surface runs smoothly even under high load, and there will be no shaking or jamming.
Low noise & smooth operation: BG Motor adopts a combination of high-precision gears and brushless motors, which makes the noise of the operating table less than 45dB when running, creating a quiet operating environment.
Compact structure and space saving: The planetary reducer has a compact structure, which reduces the volume by more than 30% compared with the traditional gear reducer, and is easy to integrate into the operating table.
Long life & maintenance-free: high-precision gear material and optimized lubrication system reduce wear, improve service life and reduce maintenance costs.
After implementing the program, the medical device company gave the following feedback:
